Hi! My name is Kari Boetcher. I  started The Teaching Tree in my home in 2011. I’ve received my degree in elementary education, specializing in special needs and early childhood and have taught preschool for more than 10 years. Teaching has always been a strong passion of mine. When I started to work in childcare centers I realized this was my calling. I was meant to work in Early Childhood Education. However, the more I learned the harder it came for me to find the right program that I really wanted for my children. I live in Olentangy specifically for their schools, but I had such a hard time finding something that had everything I wanted for my kids when they were young. This is just such a crucial and critical time in their lives and finding the right place for my children was incredibly important to me.  So, that’s when I opened a small Preschool in my home.  I was able to do what I love and teach Early Childhood Education to others and to my own children. After, my kids all went off to Elementary School I knew this was something our community needed. My childcare at home was always on a wait list and I never had room but, I wanted to help more kids on a larger scale. That is why I opened The Teaching Tree. Working hard to influence more kids in the Olentangy area because we all are here for the same reason and our child’s Early Childhood Education is too important to not have the best.

This school is a product of that hard work and Kari’s deep care for children, where she now provides quality care for families in the Olentangy and Powell areas.
